Psychosocial Support Office
Specialists provide services to pregnant women and new mothers both at the psychosocial support office and mobile – directly in the wards.

In Touch Ukraine Foundation
has joined the project "Minimum Package of Integrated Social Services for Families with Children" aimed at developing social and medical services and establishing inter-agency cooperation to support families with children. This project is implemented by UNICEF Ukraine with support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development through the German Development Bank (KFW), in partnership with the Ukrainian Child Rights Network, SOS Children's Villages Ukraine, Social Synergy NGO, and the Ukrainian Educational Platform Foundation.

Purpose of the Office:
Providing psychological and informational consultations, and social services to alleviate psycho-emotional stress and improve the quality of life and social adaptation. The project is primarily aimed at women in medical facilities who need comprehensive assistance.

Where to Contact:
The Psychosocial Support Office operates three times a week according to a separate agreed schedule at the "Regional Perinatal Center" of the Zhytomyr Regional Council (Zhytomyr, Romana Shukhevych Street, 2 A). 📱You can arrange a consultation by calling: (096) 960 11 48, (067) 335 90 05. 💙👶
What Will You Receive?
Timely identification of problems in pregnant women and new mothers, comprehensive response to these problems, and organization of psychosocial services HERE and NOW! You will be guaranteed confidentiality, accessibility, reliability, understanding, and support from qualified specialists.
Project for Women in Difficult Life Situations:
🔹 Defenders and Defenders of Ukraine;
🔹 Women considering giving up their newborns;
🔹 Women who have lost a child;
🔹 Women with premature births;
🔹 Underage pregnant women/new mothers;
🔹 Women who have experienced domestic violence;
🔹 Women with a tendency to abuse psychoactive substances;
🔹 Other categories with varying degrees of vulnerability.

- Referral to community specialists at the family’s place of residence
Women often seek psychological help for issues such as:
- Fear of childbirth
- Fear of premature birth
- Fear of losing a child
- Postpartum depression
- Fear of losing a premature baby
- Underage pregnant women coming to terms with motherhood
- Concerns about how older children will perceive the newborn (jealousy, feelings of inferiority, competitiveness, etc.)
- Fear of losing a husband who is in a combat zone
- Fear of living through war and the future of the unborn child.
Results Since 2022:

Psychological Assistance Office:
- To pregnant women who are under pregnancy preservation care, including women who are internally displaced persons;

📋 The social work specialist provides consultations on documents, status processing, and referrals. Our psychologist is ready to provide you with initial counseling and support in difficult situations.
