The Training and Resource Center (TRC) in the city of Kharkiv was established by the NGO “In Touch Ukraine Foundation” in 2025 with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), based at Kharkiv National Medical University.
TRC Address:
51 Peremohy Avenue, Kharkiv
About the Center
The Training and Resource Center is a space for learning and professional development of specialists who support families with young children, helping them receive quality care from the very first days of a child’s life.
We work on implementing the joint program of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and UNICEF, “Care from Birth at Home,” which ensures that every family receives the necessary information and support.
As of April 2026, the Center is one of sixteen such facilities forming a nationwide network of Training and Resource Centers in Ukraine.
What We Do
- Train nurses, healthcare professionals, and other specialists in modern approaches to family support
- Provide high-quality trainings, workshops, and practical sessions
- Promote effective practices in early childhood development, breastfeeding, and responsible parenting
- Inform parents about childcare and home-based support
Who It Is For
Within the home visiting model, specialists trained at the Center provide support to families with children from birth to three years of age. This means that every family can receive:
- Guidance on childcare and child development
- Consultations on breastfeeding, nutrition, and child safety
- Psycho-emotional support for parents
- Assistance in adapting to their new role and strengthening parenting skills

Why It Matters
The first 1,000 days of a child’s life are the foundation for their future development. Timely support for parents promotes healthy child growth, strengthens trusting family relationships, and lays the groundwork for a happy future.
The Training and Resource Center is a place where a community of professionals is formed—ready to support families and create the best possible conditions for child development.
