Locations of Psychological Support Spaces in Zhytomyr Region

The NGO “In Touch Ukraine” is implementing a new project to create psychological support spaces in the northern communities of Zhytomyr region. This project aims to establish and equip twelve psychological support spaces in the northern communities of Zhytomyr region, specifically in the Narodychi, Slovetshanske, and Olevsk communities.

Main Objective

The primary goal of organizing the psychological support spaces (PSS) is to provide the population with qualified psychological assistance through online consultations. These spaces will become safe places where people can freely express their emotions and experiences, find support, and develop mechanisms to overcome difficulties related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other psychological issues.

Function and Arrangement

A psychological support space is a location equipped for local residents of the mentioned communities to communicate with a psychologist online. The administrator acts as an intermediary between visitors and psychologists, registering individuals according to their needs for psychological consultations and scheduling these meetings. On the appointed day and time, people can visit the PSS and communicate with a psychologist via phone or video call. Psychological support is provided by specialists from the national mental health program “How are you?”

Twelve psychological support spaces have been created in the following settlements:

  • Bazar village
  • Narodychi urban-type settlement
  • Zakusyly village
