In January, nine mobile medical team (MMT) visits are planned for the Slovechansk, Narodychi, and Olevsk communities in the Zhytomyr region. These will be the final visits by the medical teams to these settlements. The MMTs provide comprehensive health check-ups, including on-site blood sugar and cholesterol measurements, electrocardiograms, hearing and vision tests, and consultations on further treatment or additional examinations.
“In January, as part of the project, there will be nine more visits to communities in the northern part of the region. These will be the final opportunities for local residents to receive consultations from MMTs. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this service to consult with a family doctor or psychologist, and undergo screenings for sugar, cholesterol, oxygen saturation, and more,” emphasizes Anastasiia Batyreva, coordinator of mobile medical teams in the Zhytomyr region.
Last year, MMTs provided medical and socio-psychological services to 3,400 individuals. From January to December 2024, they visited 77 settlements across three communities.
“We achieved significant results, as MMTs visited almost every village in the targeted areas two to three times over the year. This has been a tremendous support for the population, particularly for the elderly. The number of clients per visit often exceeded 20, highlighting the relevance of the services provided by the mobile medical teams,” notes MMT coordinator Anastasiia Batyreva.
