Organizational context of the work: The NGO “In Touch Ukraine Foundation” is seeking an expert who can fulfill the role of a Communications Specialist for the project “Spaces of Psychological Support in Communities of Zhytomyr Region within the project ‘Innovations for Overcoming the HIV Epidemic'” for a period of 6 months.
The project “Spaces of Psychological Support in Communities of Zhytomyr Region within the project ‘Innovations for Overcoming the HIV Epidemic'” is implemented under a grant agreement between the NGO “In Touch Ukraine Foundation” and Pact Inc. No. 380-019127 dated April 1, 2024, and is implemented with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The project is executed by a consortium of three organizations: Pact, FHI 360, and AFEW-Ukraine (“AIDS Foundation East-West”).
The project aims to establish a network of spaces for psychological support in the territories of Olevska, Slovechanska, and Narodytska communities of Zhytomyr Region to provide psychological assistance and support to the population affected by armed aggression.
Requirements for the candidate:
Full higher education in fields such as journalism, project management, public administration, international relations, medicine, etc. Experience in journalism, project management, activities of civil society organizations, international projects, regional development for at least 2 years. Knowledge of English at a minimum level of B2; Knowledge of an additional foreign language is an advantage. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Google Drive, Google Docs, Canva, Figma, CRM systems, Data Check. Possession of certificates of professional development or competence development will be an advantage. Additional documents required for participation in the competition:
Provide confirmation of quality interaction with the bodies of local self-government, regional state administrations, or other state or municipal authorities of designated territories (in any form); Provide 2 successful results of implementing M&E projects where you were a team member;
Brief description of functional responsibilities:
Writing articles, posts, videos, photos regarding the implementation of project activities. Promoting the project in local and regional media. Conducting at least 1-2 broadcasts on radio, television, regarding the implementation of the project. Additional reporting on project activities. Visiting PPP locations once per quarter to create quality photo and video content. Recording and editing interviews with people regarding the quality of PPP work. Ensuring continuous updating of all Organization (and Organization project) pages on social networks. Operational preparation of press releases and their timely distribution. Monitoring publications in the media (including communication regarding violations of donor brand guidelines during project implementation). Adherence to Appendix 6 “Branding Strategy and Marking Plan”.
Ensuring continuous updating of the Organization’s homepage, publishing news about important events. Ordering and developing souvenir products, organizing the preparation of printed materials for the Organization, etc. Organizing public events (award ceremonies, conferences, press conferences, etc.). Preparing short extracts in Ukrainian from news for informing Organization members. Maintaining contacts with partners (sending thank-you letters after events, informing them about Organization projects of interest, etc.). Receiving and sending postal correspondence, maintaining feedback with the Organization via communication means (phone, fax, etc.). Other tasks that may arise during work.
