Each week, mobile medical teams travel to the villages of Narodychi, Slovechansk, and Olevsk communities to help restore access to medical, social, and psychological services for local residents. These teams check general health conditions, measure blood sugar and cholesterol levels, perform on-site electrocardiograms, test hearing and vision, and provide consultations on further treatment or additional examinations. In December, mobile medical teams will visit 12 villages in these communities.
“In November, 270 residents of remote communities in Zhytomyr region sought services from the mobile medical teams, including 21 children. People approached us with various issues, from high blood pressure to referrals to specialized care. Eight individuals were referred to the patient transportation service, and seven successfully used the service and were satisfied with it. Referrals included heart ultrasounds, X-rays, and visits to cardiologists, oncologists, neurologists, ophthalmologists, and surgeons,” shared Anastasiia Batyreva, the Mobile Medical Team Coordinator.
