Organizational Context: The Non-Governmental Organization “NGO In Touch Ukraine Foundation” is seeking experts who can serve as specialized medical professionals and may be involved in Mobile Medical Team (MMT) activities if necessary. Specializations include gynecologists, neurologists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, ophthalmologists, otolaryngologists, gastroenterologists, endocrinologists, psychiatrists, nephrologists, etc., for the project “Restoration of Access to Medical Services in the Communities of Zhytomyr Region” within the framework of the “Innovations to Overcome the HIV Epidemic” project over a 10-month period.
The project is implemented by the NGO “In Touch Ukraine Foundation” in the region with the support of the USAID project “Building a Sustainable Public Health System,” funded by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It is executed by Pact in partnership with the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) and the European Institute of Public Health Policy (EIPH).
The project aims to provide medical and psychosocial assistance to remote settlements in the Zhytomyr region (Olevska, Slovechanska, and Narodytska communities).
Purpose of the USAID Project “Building a Sustainable Public Health System” (2022-2027): The project aims to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Ukraine to prevent, detect, and respond to public health threats. It also seeks to ensure the performance of critical public health functions during crisis periods, protect the health of all Ukrainians, including vulnerable and marginalized groups, and expand and provide mental health services to populations affected by the war.
Requirements for the Candidate:
- Completed higher education in the field of medicine.
- Experience in the field of medicine, management for at least 1 year.
- Proficient in the Ukrainian language.
- Ability to work with Excel, Word, Google Drive, Google Docs, Canvas, Figma, CRM systems, Data Check.
- Certificates of qualification enhancement or competency development are an advantage.
- Ability to work in emergencies while maintaining composure.
- Ability to prioritize and review priorities daily as needed.
- Ability to adapt flexibly to changing requirements and conditions.
- Developed teamwork skills.
- Adherence to the principles and ethics of the NGO “In Touch Ukraine Foundation.”
Brief Description of Functional Duties:
- Participate in MMT visits if necessary (conduct 2-3 visits per month).
- Conduct patient screenings according to your profile.
- If necessary, make referrals to healthcare institutions.
- Plan further treatment for patients.
- Maintain reporting in accordance with the terms of the contract.
- Adhere to the policies of the NGO “In Touch Ukraine Foundation” in project implementation.
