🏡 In the Zhytomyr region, 12 Psychological Support Spaces (PSS) are being prepared for opening.
🌿 The In Touch Ukraine Foundation is implementing a new project to create and equip twelve Psychological Support Spaces in the northern communities of the Zhytomyr region. These spaces will be established in the Narodychi, Slovechno, and Olevsk communities.
✅ The primary goal of establishing Psychological Support Spaces (PSS) is to provide the population with access to qualified psychological assistance through online consultations. It is planned that these spaces will become places where people can freely express their emotions and concerns, find support, and obtain tools to cope with difficulties related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other psychological issues.
💬 “We have already signed memorandums of cooperation with the communities and institutions where the Psychological Support Spaces will be established. Locations have been selected together with representatives from the Olevsk, Narodychi, and Slovechno communities. As part of the project, we will equip them with new furniture and computer equipment,” said project coordinator Anna Ryaboy.
💚 The Psychological Support Space is a location equipped for local residents of the specified communities to communicate with a psychologist online. An administrator will act as a mediator between people and psychologists. They will register individuals according to their psychological consultation needs, create schedules for such meetings, and on the appointed day and time, people can visit the PSS and communicate with a psychologist via phone or video call. Psychological support will be provided by specialists from the national mental health program “How are you?”.
