Delivery of Laptops for Nursing Teams in Lviv Region

Support from UNICEF Ukraine

On May 28, at the Lviv Medical Professional College of Postgraduate Education, the In Touch Ukraine Foundation handed over 65 laptops from UNICEF Ukraine to the nursing teams of 25 healthcare institutions in the Lviv region. This event is part of the implementation of the universal progressive model of home visits in the region.

Purpose of Equipment Transfer

These laptops will help nursing teams perform their duties more effectively, specifically:

  • Planning home visits
  • Maintaining detailed analysis and history for each family
  • Preparing informational materials for parents regarding child care and nurturing

“Care from Birth at Home” Program

The assistance is provided within the framework of the joint program of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine — “Care from Birth at Home.” This program aims to improve the accessibility and quality of medical and social services for families with children aged 0 to 3 years. Nursing teams are tasked with establishing stable partnerships with families, assessing the condition of each family, monitoring not only the child’s health but also supporting better conditions for the child’s full development from birth.

Cooperation with Lviv Regional State Administration

Representatives of the Lviv Regional State Administration participated in the event. Their support is crucial for the successful implementation of the program at the local level.

Future Plans

The In Touch Ukraine Foundation continues to actively work on developing the universal progressive model in various regions of Ukraine. In 2024, 12 training and resource centers are planned to be established across the country within the framework of the project “Implementation of the Universal Progressive Model of Home Visits and Integrated Child-Oriented Medical Services at the Local Level in Selected Regions of Ukraine” with the support of UNICEF.

Conclusion

The delivery of laptops for nursing teams in the Lviv region is an important step towards ensuring quality medical care for families with children. This project highlights the significance of partnerships between public organizations, government institutions, and international foundations in improving medical services at the local level.
