Organizational context of the work: Public Organization “NGO “In Touch Ukraine Foundation” is looking for an expert who can perform the role of a driver to carry out trips of the interdisciplinary mobile team for the project “Restoring access to medical services in communities of Zhytomyr region” within the framework of the project “Innovations to overcome the HIV/AIDS epidemic” for 2 months.
The project is implemented by NGO “NGO “In Touch Ukraine Foundation” in the region with the support of the USAID project “Building a resilient public health system”, funded by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Pact in partnership with the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) and the European Institute of Public Health Policy (EIPHP).
The project aims to provide medical and psychosocial assistance to remote settlements of Zhytomyr region (Olevska, Slovechanska, and Narodytska communities).
The goal of the USAID Project “Building a Resilient Public Health System” (2022-2027) is to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Ukraine to prevent, detect, and respond to public health threats, ensure the performance of critical public health functions in crisis periods, protect the health of all Ukrainians, including vulnerable and marginalized groups, and expand and provide mental health services to populations affected by war.
IMT is a multidisciplinary team of professionals who provide medical care, mental health services, psychosocial support that is as close as possible to the client’s location. IMT consists of a doctor (doctors), a nurse/paramedic, a social worker, a psychologist, and a driver.
Brief description of functional responsibilities:
organizes safe transportation of IMT to the destination; ensures proper operation of the vehicle, regular maintenance, etc. Driver requirements are detailed below. Requirements for the candidacy:
possession of a category B driver’s license; driving skills for category B vehicles for more than 2 years. Ability to work with Excel, Word, Google Drive, Google Docs. Safety and compliance with traffic rules:
safe operation of vehicles; compliance with traffic rules and vehicle maintenance rules. Technical condition of the car:
checking the technical condition of the vehicle before departure and upon return; refueling vehicles, controlling the level of lubricants, coolant, and replacing them; elimination of minor operational malfunctions of the vehicle that occurred during its operation and do not require disassembly of vehicle components. Ethics and professional behavior
compliance with ethical norms and professional standards in interaction with IMT members; possessing a high level of business culture. Driver’s areas of responsibility
Transportation of IMT members:
delivery of the vehicle to the boarding and disembarkation point of IMT members for their delivery to the destination; control of the temperature regime in the vehicle cabin, maintaining cleanliness in the vehicle cabin. Transportation of equipment for IMT activities:
compliance with the rules for loading and unloading vehicles; control over the availability of appropriate devices intended for transporting goods; control of the sanitary condition of the vehicle. Routing:
