Project Assistant

NGO “INU TOUCH UKRAINE FOUNDATION,” EDRPOU code 44749100, invites experts to cooperate in the role of a project assistant for the project “Implementation of a Universal Progressive Model of Home Visits and Integrated Health Services Oriented towards Children at the Local Level in Certain Regions of Ukraine,” to be implemented jointly with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) within the “Care from the First Breath” home visit program.

The project “Implementation of a Universal Progressive Model of Home Visits and Integrated Health Services Oriented towards Children at the Local Level in Certain Regions of Ukraine” is implemented by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the NGO “INU TOUCH UKRAINE FOUNDATION” and will take place from March 2024 to January 2025.

Project geography:

Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lviv, Volyn, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zakarpattia regions.

“Care from the First Breath” is a joint program of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and UNICEF, which involves the implementation of a universal-progressive model of home visits to improve the provision of medical and social assistance to families with children from 0 to 3 years old at the primary level. Meeting with the family in their own environment provides the specialist with a unique opportunity to understand the problems and make the right decision.

Requirements for the candidate:

  • Education in project management, public administration, international relations, economics, etc.
  • Work experience in the field of civil society organizations, international projects for at least one year.
  • Knowledge of English at the minimum level A2; Knowledge of an additional foreign language is an advantage.
  • Ability to work with Excel, Word, Google Drive, Google Docs, Canvas, Figma, CRM systems, Data Check.
  • Availability of certificates for professional development or competence development is an advantage.
  • Zero tolerance for any manifestations of violence and discrimination, adherence to ethical norms.

Short description of functional responsibilities:

  • Assisting the project coordinator.
  • Preparation of necessary documents.
  • Organizing online events and inviting participants.
  • Registering event participants.
  • Collecting and preparing analytical reports.
  • Coordinating events according to the project implementation schedule.
  • Reporting to the project coordinator on the progress of events.
  • Gathering statistical and analytical information for project implementation, if necessary.
  • Assisting the program coordinator in crisis management.
  • Interacting with educational institutions and CPMCD in the process of creating 12 training-resource centers (hereinafter referred to as TRCs for the implementation of UPMMP).
  • Documenting the project and assisting the program coordinator in office work.
  • Building a positive image around the respective project.
  • Implementing informational and educational activities.
  • Checking invoices and adhering to donor procedures during project implementation.
  • Gaining knowledge about the project monitoring and evaluation system. Collecting information on project indicator performance and storing it. Providing necessary information and data for reporting.
  • Analyzing and summarizing data, developing analytical reports on work results.
  • Assisting in document submission/reporting to the donor.

Personal qualities:

  • Ability to independently organize own work, information gathering process, reporting.
  • High level of communicability, politeness, ability to work in a team.
  • Readiness for workload.
  • Understanding of information access levels in the organization and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Responsibility, discipline.
