Technology for Home Visiting Teams: “In Touch Ukraine Foundation” and UNICEF Support Healthcare Institutions in Volyn

The public organization “In Touch Ukraine Foundation” continues to share good news! This week, 12 healthcare institutions in the Volyn region, which are implementing the universal progressive model of home visits to families with children, received equipment from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) UNICEF Ukraine.

New Laptops for Home Visiting Teams

A total of 22 laptops were handed over to the home visiting teams. This event took place at the Volyn Medical Institute with the participation of Yuriy Lehkodukh, head of the Volyn Regional State Administration’s health department.

Support for the “Care from Birth at Home” Program

The equipment was received by the home visiting teams of Volyn medical institutions, which are implementing a joint program by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and UNICEF. This program, called “Care from Birth at Home,” aims to ensure better home care and support for families by qualified nurses.

Benefits of Technical Equipment

The home visiting teams received sets that include laptops, headphones, and bags. This technical equipment will contribute to more efficient work, as it helps:

  • Plan home visits.
  • Conduct analysis and keep the history of each family.
  • Prepare informational materials for parents on child care and nurturing.

Overall Support from UNICEF

Support is not limited to Volyn. In total, over 220 laptops have already been handed over by UNICEF to home visiting teams in various regions of the country.

This support is an important step in ensuring quality medical care for families with children, providing home visiting teams with the necessary tools for their work. We are grateful to UNICEF for their ongoing support and hope that these initiatives will contribute to the improvement of health and well-being for children and families in Ukraine.
