We have initiated educational activities in 570 schools following EORE standards, with psycho-social support and an educational-gaming format, aiming to help children make up for lost opportunities.
👨👩👧👦 Considering the challenges of today and the necessity to compensate for educational opportunities, this activity is planned to maximize coverage of children in educational institutions with learning services.
Due to COVID and armed conflict, children were deprived of the opportunity for quality continuous education, especially in-person learning.
Positive Achievements:
This activity:
- Received positive feedback among parents in the Zhytomyr region.
- Enabled the identification of at-risk groups of children, classified as “complex life circumstances.” Thanks to the cross-sectoral nature of the project, it facilitated redirection of relevant families to social workers, psychologists, medical professionals, and provided necessary humanitarian assistance.
- Provided educational services to children in remote settlements of the Zhytomyr region who were limited in this regard due to armed conflict and lack of transportation for bringing children to central institutions. In this case, teachers could conduct offline classes in facilities within the settlement (not necessarily educational ones) where there is suitable shelter.
- Received positive evaluations from educational institutions in the Zhytomyr region during an educational conference, acknowledging the support provided by UNICEF within the project.
