Mobile Educational Teams are operating in Zhytomyr Region. How to invite them to your community?

In Zhytomyr Region, unique Mobile Educational Teams have been operating for the past two months with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). These are teams of educational mentors who conduct interactive educational sessions for children in various communities in the region.

The activity is aimed at providing quality educational services for children who do not have access to in-person learning or the opportunity to attend extracurricular activities. In October, within the framework of the cross-sectoral project of the NGO “In Touch Ukraine Foundation,” supported by the UNICEF, the project “TOGETHER to Learning” was launched. It involves organizing meetings with school-age children in the most remote corners of the region. The Mobile Educational Team consists of three individuals: a mine safety mentor, a psychologist, and a teacher. They have professional education and use the most modern informal teaching methods and tools, capable of explaining complex and important things in simple terms. The mandatory components of each meeting include:

  • Training on the prevention of risks from explosive objects (EORE) according to UNICEF standards.
  • Developmental sessions on academic subjects (Ukrainian language, mathematics, Ukrainian history, biology, and others).
  • Masterclasses on developing creative abilities.
  • Formation of competencies in students to help them in independent life.

Mobile Educational Teams have been traveling across Zhytomyr Region since the end of October and have already conducted educational sessions in 23 communities. Children, their parents, and teachers invite mentors to come again. So, take advantage of this opportunity!
